2023 Summer Camp
-Summer riding programs are where some of the best childhood memories are made! New for this year, join us for multiple weeks of camp for any age rider!
Whether a complete beginner that has never ridden before or one that may have some experience in the show ring we strive on a fun and safe program for every rider.
Beginner riders will learn the basics of riding and horsemanship, while our more advanced riders will practice skills and have the chance to further their skills in multiple areas.
In order for our young riders to get the most out of camp we divide our young riders by experience level. We have a maximum ratio of 1 instructor to a max of 5 riders while mounted. We have counselors and an assistance camp director available to help with the planning and coordination of all weeks of camp.
NEW PROGRAMS 2023
New for 2023 Hillcrest has designated 3 weeks throughout the summer months for our beginner riders that strive to learn new techniques and other important aspects of horsemanship. Throughout the week riders will complete different worksheets related to grooming, tacking up and different parts of the horse. By the end of the week each rider will have a color packet of horse related information to take home with them to keep learning. Friday we will bring in a special guest where parents are invited to watch the riders show off what they learned all week in a Camp Showcase. This camp runs 9:00-2:00 Monday through Friday.
Pricing $450 for the week or $100 per day
Also new for 2023 is Tot Camp for upcoming Hilcrest Riders. This camp is strictly only for younger children ages 3-6. This is primarily for riders just starting out or riders that have never ridden before. This is a half day camp M,W,F from 9:00-12:00. This is a great camp to give a child a taste of riding, learning, and exploring all things horse!

Hillcrest strives on a professional program for both its riding program but also for its show program. This year we are offering a 3-day IEA CAMP for riders that are already enrolled in riding lessons at Hillcrest and have some shoe experience. Interscholastic Equestrian Association is a great program offered to children in grades 4-12 that are looking to further their riding skills by riding a different horse at each show they participate in. This camp is Wednesday through Friday from 9:00-2:00.
